Allo 'Allo
In this little French café, resistance and much more is on the menu. Set in WW II, René is caught between helping British soldiers escape, the German occupiers, hiding his little affairs and everyone’s desire to get their hands on some very valuable artwork. Classic farce, ridiculous fake accents and much innuendo – if this tickles your fancy, don’t miss ‘Allo ‘Allo!
“I will say zis only oance … “
Café owner René juggles a menagerie including irrepressible, tone-deaf chanteuse wife Edith, waitresses Yvette Carte-Blanche and Mimi Labonq, smitten German Officer Grüber, Herr Flick of the Gestapo, “It is I… Leclerc”, Police Officer Crabtree (“good moaning!”) and many more.
Co-directed by Howard Oxley and Duncan Mitchell, with none other than Howard Oxley as René Artois, along with a stellar cast of all your favourite actors, this will be top class entertainment.
