The Townsville Business Women's Circle Awards are developed to recognise the talented and dedicated females in the business world. They recognise the achievement of these women across a variety of business categories:

Not only will the night be used to show appreciation to all nominees, but also hear from inspirational iconoclast Tracey Spicer.
Tracey is renowned for the courage of her convictions, passion for social justice, and commitment to equality. During her 28-year career, Tracey has reported for, and anchored, national news, current affairs and lifestyle programs for Channel 9 and Network Ten in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.
Currently she works as an anchor for Sky News, cast member on ABC TV’s Agony series, opinion and travel columnist for Fairfax Media and Debrief Daily, presentation trainer at the Australian Film, Television and Radio School, and media trainer for Spicer Communications.
Tracey has written, produced and presented documentaries for NGOs in Bangladesh, Kenya, Uganda, Papua New Guinea, and India, and the National Breast Cancer Foundation in Australia.
Her essays have appeared in dozens of books, including Women of Letters, She’s Having a Laugh, and Bewitched & Bedevilled: Women Write the Gillard Years.
The mother-of-two is an Ambassador for Dying with Dignity, ActionAid, World Vision, Autism Spectrum Australia, Purple Our World, Domestic Violence NSW, the National Premmie Foundation, and Cancer Council
.
Her TEDx Talk, The Lady Stripped Bare, has attracted more than 1.2 million views. The 48-year-old is also the convenor of Women in Media, a nationwide mentoring and networking group, backed by the Media Entertainment and Arts Alliance.
